ISABELLA KORANDA is delighted to announce the development of a new technique for the gentle reduction of creases on papyrus fragments.

The new procedure allows conservators to ease out fibre entanglement and folds, without interference to original historical creases. These provide insight into ancient writing habits as well as enable researchers to draw conclusions about archive contents during Antiquity.
